Free VST Plugin: Tokyo Dawn Records – TDR Feedback Compressor

Tokyo Dawn Records released an updated version of their free TDR Feedback Compressor. The plugin is available for windows in 32Bit and 64Bit.
“A carefully designed dynamic range compressor. The processor is dedicated to sum/bus compression and is the result of an intensive study about the musical behavior of the feed-back compressor topology. Most modern compressors analyze the input signal to control gain reduction. The feed-back compressor design however “listens” to its output. This non-intuitive approach delivers an unobtrusive and highly musical compression characteristic that is able to handle complex signals with ease.
These unique characteristics were combined with a minimalistic audio-path and state of the art digital signal processing techniques. The compressor is carefully tuned for intuitive and musical operation. We want to emphasize the fact that the processor neither tries to emulate any previously available device, nor does it follow popular trends like “virtual analogue”, “vintage” or similar buzz terms. Rop Papen released Blade, an additive synthesizer plugin for Mac and PC (AAX, VST, AU, RTAS)
“At the heart of BLADE, ready to twist and transform your musical mind, lies the Harmolator. An additive synthesis system, which rather than using the system of changing additive partials, uses global controls which capture the essence of additive synth in an intuitive way making the creation of sounds much easier than using other additive synths. The nine Harmolator controls allow you to create a vast range of sounds so you get all the amazing sounds that additive synthesis can generate with the added simplicity of traditional subtractive synthesis. The Harmolator allows oscillator spreading, fattening the sound and also square / sine wave sub-oscillator. What’s more, the sound can be modified further by the 21 per-voice distortions types and 14 filter types. Blade offers total control of the sound over time using an array of different modulation controls. The most significant of these is the central XY screen. Here you can either alter things directly by moving the cursor around, or you can record paths which can be replayed.
The recorded path can be looped, bi-directional looped and tempo based as well. Even the speed of the XY recording can be modulated for dynamic changes!
So the XY pad is also an incredibly advanced “human input” modulation source.
Furthermore, Blade has the full range of other modulation sources, including a dedicated envelope, LFO and velocity as modulation source for Harmolator controls. Two FX units featuring all the FX from other Rob Papen products, plus the Arp / Sequencer and an Easy page which allows you to easily control sounds, all add up to an amazingly flexible and useful instrument at the cutting edge of today’s synthesizers!”

free vsti: Wolfgang Palm – Plex2 is now freeware and 64Bit

Great news, Wolfgang Palm´s synthesizer plugin Plex2 is now freeware. The plugin offers some unique features and creates quite interesting sounds. and for all 64Bit users – now the plugin is available in 64Bit as well :)
I had done some extensions on Plex, just for myself during the last years. Doing that, I found the sounds Plex produces interesting again.
So I decided to do a new version, and offer it for free.
The new features are:
- Automatisation of the icon positions on the palette.
- All filters with emphasis parameter
- Tools to easily change the palette content
