2B Played Music Launches BassFrame with Five Bass Engines

2B Played Music has released BassFrame, a new bass shaping plugin designed to add weight, focus, punch, and harmonic character to low-end material. The plugin is now available for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU, and AAX formats.

Five Engines for Bass Shaping

BassFrame includes five dedicated processing engines: Tight, Thick, Punch, Synth, and Wide. Each engine offers a different approach to bass enhancement. Tight reinforces the bass with a controlled character, while Thick adds density and harmonic weight. Punch brings more attack and impact, and Synth generates an octave-down layer that follows the detected pitch. Wide expands upper bass harmonics while keeping the low end focused.

Users can switch between engines to suit the source material, from subtle reinforcement to more creative shaping. The Focus control sets the frequency area, and Weight reinforces the foundation. Drive adds harmonic energy, while Contour balances low and upper bass.

Control and Features

Beyond the core engines, BassFrame offers a comprehensive set of controls. Air adds presence above the bass region, and Low Focus provides extra depth. Mid Air extends the Air processing further into upper frequencies, and Mono Below keeps everything below the focus point centered. The Blend control mixes the processed signal with the original, and Soft Clip manages output peaks.

The plugin includes a real-time display with input/output metering, gain reduction, and delta level monitoring. It also features 50 professionally designed factory presets and a scalable interface.

BassFrame is suitable for kick drums, bass guitars, synth basses, 808s, drum loops, and full mixes. It can be used for subtle reinforcement or dramatic bass transformation.
