Nomz Studios has released StemMaster 1.1.78, the latest version of its AI-powered stem mixing and mastering desktop application. The update brings full macOS support, along with several new features that give users more control and transparency.

Cross-Platform Availability

StemMaster now runs on both Windows 10/11 and macOS. The Mac build requires Apple Silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 15 or newer. Intel Macs are not supported. The application is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. A single license covers both platforms, with three activations.

Users can also deliver to EBU R 128 or ATSC A/85 broadcast standards.

The Direction box lets users type instructions like “warm,” “punch,” or “vocals back.” A palette lists all recognized words. The optional AI engine reads entire sentences. Seven profiles are available, with the newest called Acoustic, designed for folk, jazz, classical, and orchestral recordings.

Languages and Engines

The interface supports eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. However, translations have not yet been reviewed by native speakers, which the app discloses. Two engines are included: a built-in offline engine by default, and an optional AI engine that uses your own API key. The AI engine receives only measurements, never audio, and supports ten providers, including local models via Ollama.
