The Toontrack Modern Retro EZX expansion for EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 offers a unique collection of kits from the mid-1900s era, meticulously selected to deliver earthy, organic, resonant, and vivid sounds suitable for various genres like acoustic pop, soul, R&B, and tight pocket-style beats. Recorded at the renowned Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg, Sweden, by Christoffer Berg and drummer Christopher Cantillo, this EZX captures the essence of vintage drum tones with a modern twist.

Featuring close mics, two mid/side configurations with ribbon and tube mics, and original calf- and cowskin heads, these kits provide a thick, warm, and timeless sound that stands out from contemporary alternatives. The expansion includes a plethora of presets ranging from natural to heavily processed, along with a library of drum grooves and fills to jumpstart your music production.
