StemMaster 1.0.8 Adds Stem Export to One-Pass Mixing App

Nomz Studios has released StemMaster 1.0.8, a significant update to its Windows mixing and mastering application. The app now exports individual stems alongside the finished stereo master. This feature answers a common need among producers who want more control after the automated pass.

Two Stem Export Modes

The update introduces two export modes. Processed Only applies each stem’s own processing, such as EQ, compression, sidechain ducking, and reverb. It keeps unity gain and dead-centre panning, with no levels or automation. This mode suits producers who want the technical cleanup but intend to balance the mix themselves. Full Mix, in contrast, bakes the entire mix into the stems, including levels, pans, vocal rider, and section automation. Everything except the master bus is included. These stems sum back to exactly the mix heard in the app. They can go straight into a DAW and through an external mastering chain.

Aligned 24-Bit WAV Export

Both modes write one 24-bit WAV file per stem. The files are numbered to match the app’s channel order, so they import already aligned. The Full Mix export is verified automatically on every build. A null test reconstructs the pre-master mix from the exported stems and compares it to the original. The build fails if the residual is not silent. A downloadable pack lets users check this claim without installing anything. It contains a mix, exported stems, and the master in 24-bit FLAC. Summing the stems at unity and inverting the mix yields a residual of -142 dB.Features

Pricing and Availability

StemMaster 1.0.8 is a free update for existing owners. New licences cost $69 USD during the launch period and $99 USD afterwards. The software runs on Windows 10 and 11. The mixing and mastering engine operates entirely on the user’s machine. It does not require an account and sends no telemetry. An optional LLM engine can be connected using the user’s own API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, or compatible providers. The LLM receives measurements only, never audio.
