Waveroom Mastering has launched a browser-based audio mastering service aimed at independent artists, producers, remixers and content creators. The service runs directly in a supported web browser, so no desktop installation is required. In addition, results can be previewed and downloaded on both desktop and mobile devices.

Adaptive Analysis Instead of Fixed Processing

Rather than applying a simple volume boost, Waveroom first analyses each track. The engine measures integrated loudness, peak level, True Peak, RMS, dynamic range and frequency balance. As a result, the service applies adaptive EQ, dynamics control, stereo imaging and transparent limiting that match the characteristics of each individual song.

The developers state that the goal is a clearer and more consistent result. Moreover, the processing protects headroom and preserves the character of the original mix. The platform also includes True Peak protection with look-ahead processing to avoid clipping on streaming platforms.

Workflow and Features

Creators can upload up to five tracks in one batch. Each track is analysed and processed individually, which reduces repetitive setup steps. Furthermore, five mastering directions can be auditioned before export: Natural, Streaming, Punch & Electronic, Warm & Analog and Loud.

Users can compare the original and processed versions using A/B playback. Export options include AIFF, FLAC, WAV and MP3 formats. Batch results can also be downloaded together. In addition, Waveroom offers vocal removal and stem separation where supported, which is useful for remix preparation or practice tracks.
