HoRNet Online Mastering v2: Browser-Based Pay-Per-Master

HoRNet Plugins has released Online Mastering v2. This is a browser-based mastering service for producers who want fast, reliable results. There is no subscription to pay and no DAW to open. The service lets users upload a single WAV file. They can then audition six different mastering styles in real time. A finished master is ready in minutes.

How Online Mastering v2 Works

Users upload a WAV file to get started. The system processes the track through a new adaptive mastering engine. Six presets are available: Vintage, Modern Analog, Modern Digital, Contemporary Extreme, Streaming, and Transparent. Each preset also has Softer, Default, and Louder intensity variants.

A free 20-second preview is generated for every preset. This happens before any purchase. Users can therefore listen to all six styles before spending a cent. The purchase decision is based on what they actually hear.

The Streaming preset targets the loudness standards used by Spotify (-14 LUFS), Apple Music (-16 LUFS), and YouTube out of the box. Users do not have to pick a number themselves.

Audio Processing and Tools

The Modern Analog and Modern Digital presets include AutoWidth stereo processing. This is the same engine used in HoRNet’s ZeroWidth plugin. A 3-band Thrust multiband dynamics design is also included. This architecture comes from the company’s Thrust plugin. It delivers a tighter low end without pumping artifacts. Broadband compression typically introduces such pumping.

The real-time A/B comparison is a standout feature. It switches between the original and mastered versions at matched loudness. Users can therefore evaluate what mastering actually changed. A side-by-side spectrum view shows the frequency response in real time.
