Compendium: Eldenvale – Fantasy Toolkit for Kontakt

Fracture Sounds has introduced Compendium: Eldenvale, a comprehensive collection of fantasy-themed instruments designed for the Kontakt Player. This expansive toolkit invites composers to immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of sound that evokes wandering knights, hidden forests, and secret taverns. With over 25 unique instruments, Eldenvale enhances the ability to create music that flows seamlessly between fantasy and folk genres.
Expansive Instrumentation
Each instrument in Compendium: Eldenvale has been developed with playability and expressive depth in mind. From the ethereal sound of forest voices to the bright, resonant tones of dulcimer strings, every instrument is crafted to capture authenticity and atmosphere. The library includes highlights such as four woodwind soloists, a meticulously recorded chamber string ensemble featuring sixteen articulations, and a forest choir with a variety of vocal expressions.
Moreover, the collection features an array of plucked and struck instruments, including the Celtic harp and harpsichord, alongside a medieval percussion ensemble featuring 59 articulations, including church bells crafted by the same foundry that produced London’s iconic Big Ben.
Cinematic Sound Design
In addition to traditional instruments, Eldenvale offers 33 fantasy pads and 15 dark drones, ideal for ambient textures and dynamic sound design. The toolkit leverages advanced features such as Smart Legato, Instrument Placement, Chordal Performance Engine, and Glissando Controller, which provide composers with a multitude of options for sculpting their soundscapes. With full NKS support, it integrates effortlessly with Komplete Kontrol hardware.
System Requirements
Compendium: Eldenvale runs in the free Kontakt Player (version 7.6 or later). For optimal performance, it is recommended to have 16GB RAM, an 8-core processor, and SSD storage.
