Turn2on has announced the release of Kleon, a new modded overdrive Rack Extension for Reason. This effect pedal emulation offers three distinct voicings and a hidden gain stage, making it a versatile tool for guitarists and producers.
Three Voicings in One
Kleon is not another clone of the Klon Centaur. It started as a study of that legendary circuit but evolved into its own instrument. The three modes—Zenith, Dusk, and Dawn—provide a range of tones from transparent boost to gritty overdrive. Zenith is warm and dynamic, Dusk adds darker midrange grit, and Dawn offers brighter, tighter tones for cutting through a mix. Moreover, each voicing responds differently to playing dynamics, so the effect feels organic and expressive.
The Vault Gain Stage
Underneath Zenith mode, the Vault switch adds an extra gain stage for more push and midrange. This hidden feature gives players an additional character without switching modes. It’s a genuine mod-switch inspired by boutique pedal modifications. As a result, you can go from subtle boost to aggressive drive with a single flip.
Controls and Flexibility
Kleon includes Gain, Treble, Output, and a Low Cut filter. The limiter and mono controls add further flexibility. Additionally, the bypass function features a fade in/out to avoid clicks. It works with electric guitar, bass, synths, and even vocals, though it’s primarily designed for guitar. For instance, using Dawn mode on synths can add a nice edge to pads or leads.

Pricing and Availability
Kleon is available at an introductory price of €21.00 (regular €32.00) until September 2nd. It requires a Reason+ subscription or a Reason license.
