Arche Bassline Generator with 16 Style Engines

Dystopian Waves Arche

Arche Bassline Generator Released by Dystopian Waves

Dystopian Waves has released Arche, a new bassline generator for Windows VST3 and Max for Live. The tool is designed for creating, editing, and exploring bassline ideas from a key and scale or an imported MIDI chord progression.

16 Style Engines for Creative Basslines

Arche includes 16 dedicated style engines. Each engine is built around a different musical approach, including Disco, House, Acid, Pop, Cinematic, and more. Consequently, each style engine generates basslines according to its own rhythmic and melodic characteristics. Users can generate basslines from a selected key and scale. Alternatively, they can import a MIDI chord progression. When working with an imported progression, Arche uses the chord information to guide pitch selection and harmonic movement.

Advanced Generation and Mutation Tools

The bassline generator offers four Rhythm Modes: Style Specific, Euclidean, Turing, and Fibonacci. Moreover, users can shape their sound with Density, Complexity, and Voice Leading controls. Custom Intervals allow for precise control over pitch selection. Furthermore, DNA Engines extract and manipulate characteristics from imported basslines. The Mutation Engine generates variations from existing or generated basslines.

Phrasing, Humanization, and More

The Phrasing System includes patterns such as ABAB, AAAB, ABCD, and custom variations. Humanization Controls cover Pocket, Velocity, and Syncopation. Therefore, users can achieve a more natural feel. Anchor Range controls keep generated basslines within a selected pitch range. The Piano Roll Editor enables adding, removing, moving, transposing, and resizing notes. A Snapshot System is also included for saving, comparing, and developing different bassline ideas.

Pricing and Availability

Arche is available now at an introductory price of $12.99 (regular price $30) until September 10. It is offered as a Windows VST3 plugin and a Max for Live device. The resizable interface includes multiple UI themes. An internal audio engine allows for quick auditioning of generated basslines. Drag & Drop MIDI Export sends ideas directly into the DAW.
