Timbral Box: Parallel Harmonic Processor Released

Smart Audio Plugins Timbral Box

Smart Audio Plugins has released Timbral Box, a parallel harmonic processor designed for mixing and mastering. This plugin aims to add presence and rebalance spectral content without sacrificing transients and punch. Every section operates in parallel, leaving the original signal untouched. As a result, the plugin preserves the natural dynamics and character of the source material.

Three-Band Processing

The plugin includes three processors for Bass, Mid, and High frequencies. Each band offers Shape controls and two saturation modes (A/B). Bass frequency centers are set at 34, 55, 89, and 144 Hz, following the Fibonacci sequence. This design allows for precise control over the low end. The Mid section includes a 3D control for spatial adjustments.

Compression and Transformer Modeling

A parallel compressor provides Full Mix and Instruments modes, along with Movement and Release controls. The sum stage includes a transformer modeled on two 1970s units, adding analog character. Autogain with Analyze function simplifies level matching, and Gain Link links input and output levels.

Compatibility and Pricing

Timbral Box is available in VST3, AU, and AAX formats (64-bit). It supports macOS 10.15 or later (Intel and Apple Silicon native) and Windows 10. The regular price is $80 / €69, but an introductory price of $56 / €48.30 is available until September 30, 2026. A free 14-day fully functional trial is also offered. Two demonstration videos are available on YouTube, showing the plugin on individual tracks and full songs.
