Thenatan DIAL – Lofi Radio Plugin with 7 Stations & 4 Radios
Thenatan has released DIAL, a new lofi radio plugin for Windows and macOS. It turns any audio into a radio broadcast, complete with static, drift, and interference. The plugin is free for 72 hours, after which it costs $50.
What is DIAL?
DIAL is not your typical lofi filter. Instead of simply adding a low-pass filter and noise, it simulates the experience of tuning a real radio. You can drag the needle across seven stations, hold the Search button to sweep the band, and switch between FM and AM modes. Each station changes the sound, and drifting off-station introduces static and noise.
Four Radio Models
The plugin includes four radio models: Warm Tube, Transistor, Shortwave, and Cheap Speaker. Each model has its own voicing, band, drive, and interface skin. This gives you a wide range of tonal colors, from warm and rounded to gritty and narrow.
Interference and Reception Controls
DIAL also features a range of controls for interference and reception. You can adjust Noise, Crackle, and Morse interference, as well as Drift, Dropout, and Blend. These parameters are fully automatable, allowing for dynamic changes during a performance.
64 Presets and Zero Latency
There are 64 factory presets across eight categories, covering everything from clean broadcasts to completely broken signals. The plugin operates with zero latency, making it suitable for live use. It also has a resizable interface and per-block bypass to save CPU.

The plugin does not support AAX, so Pro Tools users will need to look elsewhere. However, it works with most major DAWs, including FL Studio, Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper, and Studio One.
