AudioThing has released Orbita, a new Euclidean drum machine plugin built around a circular sequencer. The instrument is designed for creating evolving, interlocking grooves quickly and intuitively. Instead of a classic step grid, Orbita distributes beats across eight sample tracks on rotating circles. As a result, users can explore polyrhythms, shifting accents, offsets, and swing in a visual way.

Circular Sequencing and Polyrhythms

Orbita lets producers turn simple pulses into organic, hypnotic rhythms. Moreover, the circular layout makes it easy to spot rhythmic relationships between tracks.
