Delos DSP Releases Free Vocal Labs and Delos DEQ Plugins

Delos DSP has released two free audio plugins for macOS and Windows: Vocal Labs and Delos DEQ. Both are available as VST3, AU, Unity, and standalone applications. They require a free registration to activate, but no payment information is needed.

Vocal Labs: A Modular Vocal Channel Strip

Vocal Labs is not a fixed signal chain. Instead, it provides two independent five-module racks. Each rack can host up to five modules, chosen from eight available processors. These are Gate, EQ, De-Ess, Comp, Warmth, Bitcrusher, Reverb, and Delay. You can drag modules into either rack in any order. This means you only use the processors a specific vocal needs, without managing multiple plugin instances.The Gate is a stereo-linked downward expander with sidechain key filters. The EQ offers five bands: HP, Low Shelf, two sweepable Bells, and High Shelf. The De-Ess uses a band-passed copy of the input for its detector, so it only reduces sibilant frequencies. The Comp is a feed-forward VCA compressor with a split waveform display. Warmth adds tanh saturation, while Bitcrusher combines bit-depth reduction, sample-and-hold downsampling, and a band-pass filter for lo-fi effects.Reverb uses true stereo convolution with 19 impulse responses across Plate, Chamber, Room, Hall, Ambience, and Space. Delay offers tempo sync, tap tempo, ping-pong, and a damped feedback path. A Main Output stage with a vintage VU meter and trim gain completes the chain.Vocal Labs includes 20 genre-based factory presets. These configure entire chains, not just single modules. Delos DEQ: An 8-Band Dynamic Equalizer

Delos DEQ combines eight filter bands with per-band dynamic control. The bands are high-pass, low shelf, four bells, high shelf, and low-pass. Static gain and Q define the base curve. Meanwhile, threshold, attack, and release control how each band responds to signal energy. Therefore, you can use static and dynamic EQ in the same signal path.A real-time FFT analyzer shows the source spectrum behind the response curve. You can see pre/post spectral monitoring and dynamic movement. Values can be typed directly or scrubbed on the readouts. High-pass and low-pass slopes are selectable from 6 to 48 dB/octave. Optional 2x/4x oversampling reduces filter warping near Nyquist. The plugin also handles mono, stereo, multichannel, and surround configurations.Delos DEQ ships with 50 factory presets in five categories: Drums, Guitars, Bass, Synths, and Mastering. Price and Availability

Both plugins are free. Registration with a name and email provides permanent activation. There is no trial limit and no serial key. They run on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows. Formats include Audio Unit, VST3, Unity, and standalone. Vocal Labs is still in pre-release, but it is fully usable. Delos DEQ is also at version 1.0.4. According to the news article, an early access offer gives one additional free plugin to those who register before 5 October 2026.
