Grayscale released Helix: The Evolution of Plaits Macro Oscillator

Grayscale introduces Helix, the next step in the evolution of the Plaits macro oscillator. Helix is a self-contained synth voice for Eurorack modular systems, packed with new features and enhancements in an efficient 18hp design.

New Features

Helix includes all 24 algorithms from the final Plaits v1.2 firmware, along with a new algorithm, the Lo-Fi Oscillator, for unique sonic textures. The LED matrix allows for easy navigation through the 25 algorithms without the need to switch banks.

Pitch Quantization and Parameter Randomization

The pitch quantizer offers 35 scales for musical exploration, while parameter randomization adds a touch of unpredictability to your sound design. With dedicated knobs for LPG/VCA level and envelope decay time, Helix opens up new creative possibilities.

Modulation Bus and External Control

The modulation bus lets you replace the internal envelope with an external control signal, shaping your sound in new ways. ENV and EOD outputs provide further modulation options, while the CTRL input allows for comprehensive modulation control.
