Harrison Audio has released 32Classic Channel Strip V2, a major update to its channel strip plug-in. The new version combines the classic Harrison sound with native SSL 360° and UC1 integration. It also introduces enhanced processing tools and workflow improvements.

Native SSL 360° and UC1 Integration

The headline feature of V2 is full support for SSL 360° and the UC1 Plug-In Controller. Users can insert the plug-in directly into their DAW and access it from the SSL 360° Plug-In Mixer. Therefore, the SSL 360° Link plug-in is no longer required. Moreover, a dedicated 360° skin has been designed around the UC1 control surface. For longtime users, a Legacy Skin preserves the original layout and workflow.

Enhanced Dynamics and Processing

The compressor section now includes Auto-Gain, which helps maintain consistent output levels. In addition, a Compressor Mix control enables quick parallel compression. The new Emphasis Listen mode lets users audition the compressor’s emphasis filter. Furthermore, external sidechain inputs can now drive the gate, compressor, or both. The 360° skin also adds Channel Fader, Pan, Width, Solo, and Cut controls.

Workflow Improvements

V2 brings several quality-of-life updates. For example, preset management, A/B comparisons, and undo/redo are now included. An HQ Processing Mode offers enhanced precision for critical applications. The GUI is rescaleable, and documentation links are integrated directly into the plug-in. Best of all, existing V1 users get the upgrade free of charge. Sessions remain fully backward compatible, preserving saved settings and automation data.

Harrison 32Classic Channel Strip V2 is available now with an MSRP of $149. SSL hardware owners can purchase it for $74.50.
