HOFA ThirdPartyPluginLoader: Run Any Plugin Multiband
HOFA-Plugins has released ThirdPartyPluginLoader, a new add-on for its modular processing environment HOFA SYSTEM. This tool lets producers and engineers load existing plugins directly into SYSTEM. Consequently, they can combine them with SYSTEM’s modules, routing structures, and modulation sources.
The result is a significant expansion of an engineer’s existing plugin collection. A classic 1176 or LA2A emulation can run as a multiband compressor. A Pultec-style EQ can sit in a dedicated mid/side configuration for mastering. Two plate reverbs can run in parallel for greater spatial depth. A tube distortion and a reverb can be inserted into a feedback loop together. None of these plugins need to offer such features themselves – SYSTEM supplies the surrounding architecture.
Key Features of ThirdPartyPluginLoader
This add-on makes many advanced processing techniques possible with any plugin. For instance, you can operate any loaded plugin frequency-dependently within the SYSTEM Multiband module. Additionally, you can process each component of the stereo image separately with Mid/Side and Left/Right options. Parallel processing blends dry and wet signals or runs several independent signal paths side by side. Moreover, feedback setups allow creative loops around third-party processors. Oversampling reduces aliasing on saturation, distortion, and clipper plugins that lack internal oversampling. Plugin chains assemble custom channel strips from favourite plugins and save them with routing, modulation, and settings for recall in other projects. Finally, parameter modulation and automation control plugin parameters from the DAW and SYSTEM’s own modulators.
Cross-Format Compatibility
Because HOFA SYSTEM itself runs as VST3, AU, and AAX, the ThirdPartyPluginLoader also resolves another problem: plugin formats a given DAW does not natively support. VST plugins become usable in Logic. AU plugins work in Cubase. Both VST and AU plugins become usable in Pro Tools.
Free and Full Versions
Like every plugin in the HOFA SYSTEM series, the ThirdPartyPluginLoader is available as freeware with a reduced feature set. The free version loads one external plugin into HOFA SYSTEM. That is enough to extend a single plugin with multiband, mid/side, or oversampling capability. The full version removes that restriction. It hosts as many third-party plugins simultaneously as the project requires. You can wire them into complex chains, parallel setups, and multiband racks.
About HOFA SYSTEM
The ThirdPartyPluginLoader is part of the HOFA SYSTEM modular plugin platform. This platform offers a flexible environment for audio processing. With over 30 effect modules – including EQs, compressors, reverbs, and modulation – users can create custom signal chains tailored to their workflow. Features like drag-and-drop routing, parallel and serial processing, multiband capabilities, and mid/side options make HOFA SYSTEM a versatile tool for mixing, mastering, and sound design.
