Inter::State V1.3: New Slot Scenes and Morphing Effects

Ravine DSP Inter::State V1.3

Ravine DSP has introduced version 1.3 of Inter::State. This is a plug-in host for effects you already own. The update adds a new Slot Scenes system. It stores eight tonal states for any hosted plug-in. As a result, you can switch, morph, or crossfade between them. This avoids complex DAW automation.

Creative Control

Founder Craig Lopez explains that the update transforms the host into a creative environment. He says the new system reduces the need for duplicate plug-in instances. He also highlights the ability to morph between static states. This helps you find custom sweet spots. You can also crossfade between sections of a song. All this happens without drawing complex curves.

How Slot Scenes Work

Slot Scenes save parameter states inside each slot. You can recall them instantly. Alternatively, you can morph between adjacent scenes. Furthermore, you can launch timed, beat-synced transitions. Moreover, you can drive scenes from macros, MIDI, or host automation. This opens creative possibilities for mixing and sound design.

Centralized Control with Inter::State[Bridge]

Inter::State[Bridge] is a companion utility. It acts as a control surface for large sessions. Load it once as a virtual instrument. Then you can control any Inter::State instance across the project. Consequently, you can adjust multiple tracks with a single fader. This reduces automation clutter significantly.

Compatibility and Pricing

Inter::State V1.3 works on macOS 10.13 or newer and Windows 10/11. It supports VST3 and AU formats. It is compatible with Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Reaper, and Cubase. The Founders Edition price is $69.00 USD (€60.00 EUR). The regular price will be $99.00 USD (€85.00 EUR). Existing owners can update for free. A seven-day trial is also available.
