soothe3 features two distinct operational modes: Soft mode and Hard mode. The Soft mode represents oeksound’s most transparent resonance suppression to date, utilizing an adaptive threshold. This makes it particularly effective for a wide range of sound sources, performing exceptionally well with dynamic instruments where subtle adjustments are paramount. Conversely, the Hard mode operates with a fixed threshold, echoing the style of Soothe2. This mode is better suited for more aggressive control and is ideal for achieving popular sidechain effects, offering a more pronounced impact on the audio.
