Also available for free is Synthimatic, a visual subtractive synthesizer tailored for those new to sound design or looking to deepen their understanding of synthesis. This synth provides real-time visual feedback, drawing the waveform and spectrum as users manipulate the sound. In addition, a built-in hint system explains the function of each section while playing, making it an excellent educational tool. Synthimatic features two oscillators plus a noise generator, a resonant filter, separate amplifier and filter envelopes, and a tempo-syncable LFO.
