What is RIPPLES Tap?
RIPPLES Music Industries has released Tap, a free desktop application for macOS and Windows. It serves as a central hub for installing, updating, and managing licenses for all RIPPLES plugins. Instead of dealing with individual installers, users can handle everything from one interface. This new tool aims to simplify plugin management for both new and existing users.
Key Features
Tap offers several notable features that streamline plugin management. For instance, batch installation allows you to select multiple plugins and install them in a single pass. On macOS, this requires only one administrator password prompt for the entire batch. Moreover, the app reads installed plugin versions from disk and updates the whole set with a single button. Additionally, each plugin includes a playable audio demo inside the app, so you can audition before installing.
License management is account-based, meaning you can release a license from one computer and activate it on another without contacting support. Furthermore, four plugins—Wildcard, Lunar, Residue, and Luster—are included free with any RIPPLES account. This makes it easy to get started with the ecosystem. The app also distributes RIPPLES sample packs and books through its own shelf, replacing direct downloads from the website. This centralization ensures that users always have access to the latest versions.
