Skew operates by constantly recording incoming audio into a buffer, playing it back in reversed chunks that synchronize rhythmically to the host transport. This unique algorithm allows users to warp the delay playback speed through a selection of non-linear curves, resulting in dynamic pitch bending effects.

One of the standout aspects of Skew is its innovative triple-playhead design. It features one playhead dedicated to feedback and two others for playback, ensuring that pitch bend effects remain consistent across feedback repeat cycles.
