Sinevibes Releases Skew 2: Free Non-Linear Reverse Delay Plugin

Sinevibes has announced the release of Skew 2.0, an updated version of their non-linear reverse delay effect plugin, now available for free. This innovative plugin is compatible with Mac, Windows, and Linux systems, making it accessible to a wide range of producers and sound designers.
Unique Features of Skew 2.0
Skew operates by constantly recording incoming audio into a buffer, playing it back in reversed chunks that synchronize rhythmically to the host transport. This unique algorithm allows users to warp the delay playback speed through a selection of non-linear curves, resulting in dynamic pitch bending effects.
One of the standout aspects of Skew is its innovative triple-playhead design. It features one playhead dedicated to feedback and two others for playback, ensuring that pitch bend effects remain consistent across feedback repeat cycles. This meticulous calibration and extensive parameter range enable the creation of various rhythmically precise effects, including:
- Pure reversing
- Tape rewind
- Pitch slides
- Detuning
- Vibrato
- Scratching
Technical Specifications
Skew supports a range of formats:
- Mac: AU/VST3/AAX for macOS 10.13 or newer (64-bit Apple Silicon and Intel)
- Windows: VST3/AAX for Windows 8.1 or newer (64-bit Intel and AMD)
- Linux: VST3 for Linux 2020 or newer (64-bit Intel and AMD)
This plugin also offers lag filters on all continuous parameters, ensuring smooth and click-free adjustments, and supports various channel configurations, including mono to mono, mono to stereo, and stereo to stereo.
