Softube Launches Reference 1998 & 1956 Equalizer Plugins

Softube has introduced two new equalizer plugins: Reference 1998 Equalizer and Reference 1956 Equalizer. Both are modeled after legendary passive tube EQs, offering distinct tonal characteristics for mixing and mastering. The plugins are available individually or in bundles, with introductory pricing for a limited time.

Two Classic EQs Reimagined

The Reference 1998 Equalizer captures the renowned tone-shaping capabilities of the original hardware. It excels at broad musical adjustments, adding warmth and depth to any track. Meanwhile, the Reference 1956 Equalizer delivers broad strokes with a big tone, perfect for shaping the overall balance of a mix. Additionally, it includes modern features like Mid/Side functionality and separate gain controls, making it more versatile than its vintage counterpart.

Both plugins are designed to work seamlessly together. They can be combined with Softube’s existing Equalizers plugin to create a comprehensive EQ toolkit.
