Techivation Introduces M-EQ: Advanced Linear Phase Equaliser

Techivation has announced the release of M-EQ, the latest addition to their M-series of plug-ins, marking their first release in 2026. This innovative linear phase equaliser combines the musical workflow of classic EQs with adaptive intelligence, providing surgical precision with just three smart, context-aware bands.

Each of M-EQ’s three Smart Curve bands performs dozens of intelligent, real-time adjustments. This continuous reshaping of the frequency response is based on your audio, allowing M-EQ to achieve tonal control that typically requires multiple traditional EQ bands. The transformation in equalisation approach is quite significant.

Intuitive Workflow

Instead of searching for specific problem frequencies, users can choose a broad frequency range and set their desired gain. M-EQ’s Smart Curves then analyze the incoming signal in real-time, automatically redistributing gain where it’s genuinely needed. For instance, boosts enhance only frequencies that lack energy, while cuts target areas of excess. As a result, users can achieve natural, musical tonal shaping with just a few intuitive moves, eliminating the need for painstaking manual adjustments.
