UVI has released Thorus XT, an extended version of its popular chorus plugin. This new tool combines a pristine digital chorus engine with a faithful analog-modeled bucket-brigade circuit, giving producers two distinct worlds in a single plugin.
Two Engines, One Plugin
Thorus XT features a morphable 8-voice architecture shared by both engines. You can continuously adjust the number of voices, from a few for pronounced modulation to many for a thick, immersive wash. The digital engine delivers clean, precise, and transparent chorusing, while the analog engine emulates classic hardware units like the Dimension D and Juno-6, complete with aliasing, hiss, and per-voice variation.
What sets Thorus XT apart is its deep control. In analog mode, parameters like Aliasing, Stability, and Compander are exposed, letting you shape the circuit’s behavior. The Quality control can also lower the base clock rate for darker, grittier tones.
Pricing and Availability
Thorus XT is available now at an introductory price of €49 (regular €79) through September 7th, 2026. It runs as a standalone application and supports Audio Units, VST3, AAX, and more. A 3-day free trial is also available via the UVI Portal.
