Velvet is a vocal processing plugin designed to refine and enhance vocal tracks by intelligently managing sibilance and tone. It features split Sibilance and Tonal channels that allow users to soften harsh sibilant sounds and dynamically shape the overall vocal tone. With its Sibilance Learn function, Velvet instantly identifies sibilant frequencies, making it easier to target and reduce unwanted hiss and harshness.

Advanced De-Essing and Dynamic EQ

The plugin uses a 6-band dynamic EQ that automatically adjusts based on the detected sibilance. Users can tweak or add EQ nodes, scale the effect with a single knob, and change filter types to customize the de-essing process. This intelligent approach ensures transparent reduction of harsh sounds without compromising vocal clarity.

Dynamic Tone Shaping for Vocal Signature

Velvet offers dynamic tone shaping with independent Lift and Tame controls, allowing precise boosting or cutting of frequencies only where needed. It includes 8 target profiles and frequency sliders to mirror specific tonal characteristics, enabling producers to craft their desired vocal sound effectively.

De-Click Feature for Clean Vocals

In addition to de-essing, Velvet includes an intuitive De-Click function that removes distracting mouth sounds, pops, and clicks. Users simply adjust the De-Click fader while monitoring the repair counter, resulting in cleaner and more polished vocal tracks.

Professional Presets and User-Friendly Controls

Velvet comes with 50 professional presets to get started quickly. The Learn button customizes these presets to fit individual vocal tracks. Users can solo the Sibilance and Tonal channels, fine-tune thresholds, and use the global Delta button to hear the difference between processed and unprocessed signals. The mix fader allows parallel processing for subtle effect blending.
