8UP Releases 8-Bit Victories & Game Overs Sample Packs

8UP has released two new sample packs for retro game sound design. These are 8-Bit Victories and 8-Bit Game Overs. Both collections deliver classic NES-style sound effects. Each pack contains 100 unique samples. They are available now at $9.95 each.
8-Bit Victories
This pack focuses on success and triumph. It includes uplifting stage-clear melodies, regal fanfares, and puzzle-solving jingles. You also get race-winning cadences and quest-complete celebrations. The samples are organized into five clear categories. For instance, Stage Clear offers mini-melodies that celebrate beating a level. Kingdom Saved provides major-key fanfares for heroic victories. Puzzle Solved delivers faster, complex positive melodies. First Place includes celebratory sounds for winning races. Quest Complete covers achievement sounds for goals and missions.
8-Bit Game Overs
This pack captures defeat and game over moments. It features somber melodies and minor-key descents. There are also lighthearted jingles and playful tones. The five categories include The End, which marks unsuccessful endings. You Failed offers minor and chromatic tonal descents. Rest In Peace provides slow, melancholy melodies for fallen heroes. No More Lives uses chordal downward intervals. Too Bad includes playful whoopsie and oh well jingles.
Features and Compatibility
Both packs are formatted for Native Instruments Kontakt, Ableton Live, Maschine, Logic Pro EXS24/Sampler, FL Studio, MPC Expansion Pack, and TAL-Sampler. The samples are 24-bit, 44.1 kHz WAV files. They work with most modern DAWs and samplers. Moreover, both packs are part of the 8-Bit Sound Effects Bundle. Therefore, you can combine them for a complete retro sound set.
