Piruz Labs has released Pre Doom, a pre-distortion processor for macOS and Windows. Most distortion plugins begin after the signal arrives. Pre Doom works one step earlier. It does not replace the amp, distortion or saturator you already own. It decides what that thing gets to eat.
Five Shaping Controls
Five shaping controls do the work. Mass rebuilds low-end body before the next stage reacts to it. Bite pushes aggressive edge forward without simply raising level. Punch shapes transient impact so drums, bass and picks arrive with authority. Tight controls looseness before high-gain processing multiplies it. Filth adds ugly harmonic material on purpose, before the main destruction stage.
Versatile Sound Shaping
A Doom to Knife control moves the whole machine between dark, massive pressure and fast, surgical aggression. Destroy/Rebuild swings between loose heavy destruction and tight control. Push and Pre set the drive going in.

Pre Doom runs as VST3, Audio Unit and Standalone on macOS, and VST3 and Standalone on Windows. The macOS build is a universal binary, so it runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel.
